The areas of tax preparation that Tim manages for clients cover aspects of tax law, rules and regulations that are not well known or understood by the general public who may only encounter the need for them at certain points in their lives.
Rules and regulations that govern overseas income are particularly complex by Tim is here to guide clients through all the various HMRC tests, ensure all rules are applied correctly and that clients do not find themselves paying the incorrect ammount of tax, or paying tax to the wrong goverment.
As well as handling the client tax requirements in these areas Tim is keen to make these arcane topics more transparent, well known and more easily understood. He believes that as the level of jargon decreases, client peace of mind increases.
Tim’s dad and brother both worked in the construction sector which and often found they were left having to learn about and manage quite specialised areas of taxation on their own without having had any training or support. Wanting to help people out of the same situation and give them that time back was one of the reasons he was drawn to the mission of RIFT.
